Pharmacist - Clinical Staff - Full Time

Role Overview

Provides age-specific pharmaceutical care and basic clinical services within assigned patient care areas, contributing to quality assurance, performance improvement, and departmental activities. Responsible for medication management, including processing, preparation, dispensing, and sterile product handling, with an emphasis on medication safety and appropriateness.

Main Duties

• Manage medication orders, ensuring age-specific considerations for safety.
• Participate in pharmacotherapeutic planning and clinical decision-making.
• Supervise and guide healthcare team members.
• Prepare and dispense sterile products.
• Provide drug information, education, and participate in departmental committees.
• Utilize automation tools to maximize safety and efficiency.
• Complete assigned goals and responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of a B.S. or Pharm.D. degree; licensure as a pharmacist, with eligibility for licensure if not licensed.
• Preferred experience includes hospital pharmacy work and certifications like BLS or ACLS.
• Strong computer literacy, interpersonal skills, and clinical awareness.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to interpret medication orders.
