Pharmacist - Central Pharmacy

About the role

This role supports medication distribution for over 800 beds, Pyxis MedStation replenishment, and batch product preparation at the Central Pharmacy at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide distributive services
• Supervise pharmacy technicians
• Ensure efficient workflow
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote safe and effective medication use
• Obtain departmental IV Certification (including aseptic technique and hazardous handling) within 90 days of hire
• Support both acute and chronic patient care overnight

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm D. or BS degree
• Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience is desired
• Minimum of one year of hospital experience with responsibility for the supervision of pharmacy personnel is desired
• Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland required
• Intravenous (IV) Certification (includes aseptic technique and hazardous substance handling) within 90 days upon hire
• BLS Certification desired

Pay

Salary Range: Minimum $51.79/hour - Maximum $85.52/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
