Pharmacist, Automation
About the role
The Automation Pharmacist is responsible for developing and configuring pharmacy automation systems to meet pharmacy standards, regulations, and operational requirements. They serve as a liaison between IT and pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy, maintaining quality assurance, system integrity, and customer satisfaction for assigned technology or automation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain quality assurance, system integrity, and customer satisfaction for assigned technology or automation.
- Provide ongoing review and assessment of user training needs and perform or arrange training as required.
Requirements
- Completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or master’s degree required.
- A minimum of two to three years of progressive hospital pharmacy experience required.
- Registration and licensure in accordance to the requirements of the NJ Board of Pharmacy required.
- Prior Cerner and Omnicell technologies experience required.
- Experience with implementing automated solutions in pharmacies required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or master’s degree required.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
