Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in resolving pharmacy service-related complaints and concerns in accordance with company policy and promoting a positive customer experience.
- Answer customer phone calls, doctor phone calls, and initial and final evaluation of prescriptions.
- Practice in accordance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Contribute to and support an atmosphere of effective teamwork.
- Maintain accuracy of the perpetual inventory of Schedule II controlled substances.
- Attend pertinent meetings when necessary.
- Aid in training and developing other pharmacy personnel.
- Aid in enforcing all company policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on developments in the professional field.
- Maintain confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA.
- Answer drug information questions as requested.
Education and Experience
- A valid Pharmacist License, in good standing. (RPh)
- Two years minimum of pharmacy experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of laws pertaining to storage, recordkeeping, and dispensing of drugs

- Effective communication skills, patience, and courtesy
- Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once
- Focused team player, capable of working with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and management
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines
- Ability to perform repetitive work accurately
Work Environment / Physical Demands
- This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer.
- Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment.
- May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients.
- Some travel may be required.
