Pharmacist

About the role

To provide and support pharmaceutical care including medication dispensing, preventing, identifying and resolving drug related problems, promoting optimal therapeutics and medication education.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the performance improvement, academic programs and clinical research activities of the department.
• Serve as a liaison to the medical and nursing staff.
• Supervise technician employees.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy - OR - Pharm D. degree (Doctor of Pharmacy)
• PREFERRED Education: Post-graduate residency training
• Necessary Skills: Attention to detail and ability to distinguish drug products; fine motor coordination and manual dexterity; computer skills and accuracy in calculations; excellent communication and customer service skills; supervision of technician employees.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida - OR - Eligible for Pharmacist license in the State of Florida within 90 days of the date of hire/transfer
• Required Experience: Less than one year pharmacist/intern experience
• PREFERRED Experience: Experience and/or advanced training in specific practice area; supervision of 3-18 employees
• Age of Patients Served: All age groups
