About the role
A Staff Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care, including dispensing prescriptions, counseling patients, administering immunizations, and managing confidential information. They serve as a community leader by building patient relationships, advocating for health and wellness, and supporting community outreach efforts.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate processing and dispensing of prescriptions while maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Counsel patients on medication use and health care needs, promoting patient-centered care.
- Administer immunizations and support other health programs.
- Model and enforce customer service standards, addressing patient concerns effectively.
- Maintain safety, quality assurance, and compliance with legal and company policies.
- Develop community relationships and participate in outreach, wellness days, and health initiatives.
- Support and guide pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of safety, accuracy, and ethical practice.
- Utilize data and insights to improve service delivery and community health outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or equivalent.
- Valid pharmacy license.
- Completion of an ACPE Accredited Immunization training program.
- Strong communication, clinical knowledge, and customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt to diverse patient backgrounds and medical concerns.
- Commitment to ethical practices, compliance, and continuous improvement.
