Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Understands the Epic system to review, verify, and prioritize orders.
• Supports the formulary.
• Accurately dispenses medications following the scanning process.
• Follows USP guidelines (797/800) and understands Abacus software / Baxa pump.
• Prioritizes and monitors daily operational duties, coordinating breaks and lunches.
• Maintains drug supply and inspects inventory for outdated drugs.
• Keeps pharmacy records compliant with state, federal, and departmental regulations.
• Fulfills safety policies and procedures.
• Projects a positive image in interactions with hospital staff and guests.
• Aids in identifying and solving problems within the department and with other healthcare professionals.
• Shows initiative for improving departmental quality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Pharmacy Practice Skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Licenses and certifications required: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio.
