Pharmacist

About the Role

As our Pharmacist, you will provide timely, accurate, and complete pharmaceutical care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through medication order review, clinical interventions, and drug information. You will review medication orders, perform clinical interventions with prescribers, provide comprehensive drug information, and maintain control of daily pharmacy operations, including supervising personnel.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, evaluate, and monitor patient medication orders in a timely manner with accuracy and care using the patient medical record and/or pharmacy profile.
• Evaluate all orders for appropriateness and safety.
• Monitor the effects of medication therapy in hospital patients and participate in patient medication counseling.
• Coordinate acquisition, distribution, storage, and security of pharmaceutical products.
• Coordinate the ordering, manufacture, and distribution of medications in the hospital.
• Provide consultative, clinical, and educational services to healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, cost-effective use of pharmaceuticals.
• Recognize and resolve inappropriate orders for medications using knowledge and effective communication with the healthcare team.
• Supervise personnel and manage daily pharmacy operations to ensure high-quality, safe patient care.

Requirements

• B.S. or PharmD degree.
• Pharmacist License in the state of employment.

Qualifications

Preferred: One (1) year of experience as a pharmacist.

Pay

$57.12 - $91.46 per hour.
