About the role
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. We are seeking a temporary Pharmacist to support complex pharmacy initiatives across multiple locations.
This role is based at Marsh Med Ctr Park Falls, located at 98 Sherry Ave, Park Falls, WI 54552, USA, and involves working a day shift with a flexible schedule and 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
The Pharmacist will review prescriptions to assure accuracy, evaluate their suitability, and provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage.
- Review and interpret provider orders, provide drug information, and assist in problem solving in a medical center or institutional setting
- Counsel patients on medication prescriptions, including proper administration, possible side effects, expected response, storage, and other questions
- Monitor the health and progress of patients in response to drug therapy
- Provide oversight and clinical supervision for pharmacy services and pharmacy support personnel
- Utilize appropriate age-related patient information to assess the pharmaceutical needs of patients, including provision of pharmaceutical care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Follow established regulations and standards that govern the practice of pharmacy
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions, and knowledge of state and local regulations.
- Hospital experience or residency is preferred
- License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position
