About the role

Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital is a joint venture with Select Medical, offering inpatient rehabilitation services for individuals with various medical conditions such as brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities

• Having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixtures.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after discharge.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency preferred.

Skills

• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical services.
• Ability to provide clinical support in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and instruction skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with drug distribution systems and IV admixtures.
• Ability to develop and implement training programs.
• Knowledge of patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Strong commitment to quality improvement.

Pay

• $70 per hour.
