About the role

Ensures optimal medication therapy for patients based on diagnosis and individual factors like age and organ function.

Responsibilities

• Compounds and dispenses medications according to physician orders and prescriptions.
• Maintains compliance with state and federal laws and professional guidelines.
• Provides drug information to medical and hospital staff and educates patients and their families about their drug therapy.
• Monitors and reviews Pyxis override activities to ensure appropriate patient care.

Requirements

• Knowledge of standard office equipment and personal computers.
• Proficient use of keyboarding, mouse, and other computer functions.

Qualifications

• Current CA Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license.
• Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist certification.

Skills

Excellent communication skills.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
