About the role
A Staff Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care by dispensing prescriptions, counseling patients on healthcare and medication needs, administering immunizations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. They mentor pharmacy staff on customer service and uphold community engagement through outreach activities.
Responsibilities
- Process and accurately dispense prescriptions
- Advise patients on medication and health concerns
- Administer immunizations and participate in health programs
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations
- Guide pharmacy team on customer service practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or PharmD degree in Pharmacy
- Valid pharmacy license
- Completion of ACPE-accredited immunization training
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical care, relationship-building, adaptability, and community involvement
- Commitment to HIPAA and PHI compliance
