Pharmacist

About the role

We are looking for a driven and ambitious junior or senior level pharmacist to join our team in Verda Park, Wallingford. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment and manage pharmacy objectives in line with company growth and strategy. You will join a growing team and have a meaningful impact on our patients and customers, reporting to the site’s Superintendent Pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operational guidelines
• Maintain compliance with our practice standards
• Help the Superintendent Pharmacist to develop, implement, and maintain Pharmacy procedures and processes
• Work with the Head of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager to help run the Pharmacy
• Deputise for the Pharmacy Manager in their absence
• Check dispensed prescriptions and send out orders via our couriers
• Manage the Pharmacy near misses and create action plans
• Work with the Risk and Safety team to root cause and resolve incidents
• Work proactively with Service and other internal teams to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner
• Proactive problem-solving and innovation, contributing towards service development and patient experience
• Work with the Pharmacy Manager to train and develop the Pharmacy workforce
• Work with the compounding team to supply medicines
• Work with the Pharmacy Manager and Supply Chain team to manage inventory

Requirements

• Registered with the pharmacy regulator (GPhC)
• Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise
• A passion for pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team-centred approach
• Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services
• Role model communication skills; excellent face-to-face interactions to meet the varied needs of customers and patients
