About the role
This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing and delivering prescriptions accurately and timely. You will ensure adequate inventory levels to meet patients' needs, counsel patients with appropriate documentation, and provide friendly, positive, and proactive interaction with all internal and external customers. You will also create awareness and educate customers through public relations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients
- Ensure medication and over-the-counter supplement inventory levels are adequate to meet patients’ needs
- Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive manner
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (e.g., public health days, clinics)
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patients' needs and doctors' requests/issues
- Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy
- Provide ongoing training for all new and existing Pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPGs)
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist license (required)
- Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
- Excellent leadership and performance management skills
- Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans
- Strong personal computing skills; knowledge of Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy Computer system is an asset

Pay
Hiring range: $54.00 - $69.85 per hour. A candidate’s experience, knowledge, and the geographical region may be factored into the pay for this position.
