About the role
Full Time Inpatient/Clinical Pharmacist position available shared between our Clarion and Belmond locations.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 8:30 am–5:30 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am–12:00 pm (every 4th weekend rotation)
- Rotating on-call for the hospital
Responsibilities
- Sterile compounding according to USP 797 and USP 800 regulations
- Order verification and documentation of interventions
- Participation in multidisciplinary rounds
- Updating policies and procedures
- Drug monitoring and patient/staff education
- Supervision of hospital technician staff
- Billing and ordering of pharmaceuticals
- Joining hospital committees
- Omnicell support
- Demonstrating proficiency in providing pharmaceutical services to persons of all ages, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college of Pharmacy with BS or higher in Pharmacy
- Current valid Iowa Pharmacy License
- Hospital experience preferred
- Willingness to work at all Iowa Specialty Hospital locations as needed
