Pharmacist
About the role
Serves as a clinical pharmacist providing direct pharmaceutical care for patients within the Indian Health Service. This position is considered as the major source of pharmaceutical clinical information and is expected to manage selected patients with chronic disease states, as well as providing pharmaceutical care for acute patients.
Responsibilities
- Provides pharmaceutical care for patients within the Indian Health Service.
- Maintains and updates patient medication records.
- Collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manages selected patients with chronic disease states.
- Provides pharmaceutical care for acute patients.
Requirements
A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Qualifications
PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited college or university.
Current license to practice pharmacy in at least one state.
Experience in providing pharmaceutical care to patients within the Indian Health Service.
Skills
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of Indian Health Service policies and procedures.
