Pharmacist
Job Summary and Qualifications
This position supports the mission of HCA HealthONE Aurora of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Director and/or the Pharmacy Operations Supervisor, the Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, effective and cost-effective use of drugs through the application of specialized knowledge, skills, and professional judgment.
Position Requirements
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy as a registered Pharmacist. BCLS and ACLS certifications required through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Must maintain current certifications.
- Education: BS or Pharm D in Pharmacy required.
- Special Qualifications: Must have the ability to type and have effective oral and written communication skills and computer skills. Demonstrated skills commensurate with formal training.

About the Role
The staff pharmacist shall perform drug packaging, patient billing, all aspects of drug compounding and distributions, shall provide drug information and clinical service to all health professionals and patients, and monitor all aspects of drug therapy in the facility. The staff Pharmacist supervises pharmacy technicians and interns. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
