About the role

Hartford Hospital is seeking Pharmacists for their Inpatient Pharmacy Department. The position is open to candidates with or without prior pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on optimal drug therapy to medical teams.
• Monitor and dispense medications for all age groups according to department procedures and protocols.
• Supervise medication preparation by pharmacy technicians.
• Advise nursing personnel on appropriate medication administration.
• Promote the rational use of medications through drug information and clinical monitoring services.

Requirements

• Pharm.D. or equivalent degree.
• Current CT Pharmacist license or eligibility within 45 days of hire.
