Pharmacist

About the role

The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications. This includes reviewing and verifying prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosing, and potential interactions. Dispensing medications and counseling patients on proper use, potential side effects, and storage are also part of the responsibilities.

Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality of protected health information (PHI), ensuring compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws, regulations, and licensing requirements, collaborating with providers and other healthcare professionals to support patient care, participating in inventory management, including ordering and checking in medications, and responding to medication-related inquiries from patients and providers are additional duties.

Qualifications

• Your responsibilities include reviewing and verifying prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosing, and potential interactions.
• You must dispense medications and counsel patients on proper use, potential side effects, and storage.
• You oversee and supervise pharmacy technicians and clerks.
• You maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).
• You ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
• You collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• You participate in inventory management, including ordering and checking in medications.
• You respond to medication-related inquiries from patients and providers.

What You Bring To Eden

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree.
• An active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate state board.
• A strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and clinical guidelines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
