Responsibilities
- Meticulously review every prescription in your queue for safety, critically assessing for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies, or any irregularities.
- Authorize prescriptions for the pharmacy technician, performing a final check before dispensing medication to the nursing station, ensuring expert oversight in every process.
- Convey information accurately and efficiently, listens actively and incorporates ideas of others, adapts written and oral style to the audience to enhance understanding.
- Speak in an easy-to-understand, easily-heard direct manner that reflects clear, organized and reasoned thought, uses language appropriate to audience and situation.
- Coordination of Pharmacy functions for Medications Reconciliation, Renal dosing, Kinetics, IV production including TPN’s, Chemotherapy, Medication verification, Compounding, Automatic Dispensing Cabinets, Patient education and Dispensing of medications.
- If working as Pharmacist Lead in Retail Pharmacy functions would include retail prescriptions, hospice consulting, and oversight of the day to day activities.
Requirements
- Graduate of College of Pharmacy
- Pharmacist License: MN
Preferred
- Three years of experience working in a pharmacy environment
