About the role

Basic Home Infusion (BHI) supports physicians in managing their TDD patients—and your entire practice. Today's targeted drug delivery (TDD) and infusion therapies demand seamless coordination between physicians, care teams, and patients. BHI brings all three together—empowering doctors to extend care beyond the clinic, enabling staff to streamline and centralize management, and ensuring patients receive TDD in the comfort of their homes from experienced nurses. BHI connects physicians, provider staff, and patients to deliver better home infusion. We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team in Farmers Branch TX. This is a hands-on, sterile-compounding role.

Responsibilities

  • Review prescriptions issued by a physician or other authorized prescribers to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
  • Prepares, fills and compounds medications using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
  • Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files and inventory.
  • Maintain and provide drug usage reports to our pharmaceutical partners as requested.
  • Perform PMP reporting in compliance with state requirements.
  • Plans and organizes activities in pharmacy services to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with Physician request, administrative procedures, and best practices.
  • Engages in continuing education activities and other CEU opportunities related to improving pharmacy services.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the DOP or Pharmacy Manager.
  • Ensuring the development, implementation, enforcement and updating as needed of company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the quality assurance program for patient care.
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring assessment of documentation appropriateness, as well as effectiveness and safety of drug therapy.
  • Assists DOP and Pharmacy Manager to ensure that the pharmacy follows all State and Federal laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy
  • TX Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Additional state pharmacist licenses a plus
  • USP 797 compounding experience
  • Infusion/IV experience
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as required
