Medication Management

Assure the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders.

Review medication orders to identify and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems, recommending alternatives when necessary.

Compound and accurately dispense medications for delivery to patients and specific care areas.

Provide drug information and education to medical staff while offering counseling to patients.

Oversee technical personnel in the pharmacy and communicate with physicians to facilitate patient care.

Minimum Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: Pharmacist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
