Pharmacist

About the role

A Clinical Pharmacist contributes to AHF by expanding primary care functions of pharmacists, such as providing individualized health promotion and disease prevention. This includes administration of vaccines, long-acting HIV treatments, diabetes monitoring, nicotine reduction programs, and other subject matters in collaboration with other AHF providers.

A Clinical Pharmacist enhances AHF’s reputation by bringing "best practice" and collaborative ideas, ensuring consistent application of processes, procedures, and policy throughout the organization. You will advocate for AHF’s top initiatives while keeping the organization’s core Values and Mission central to your work.

AHF operates in a dynamic environment with a collaborative structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders. The Clinical Pharmacist will work as part of a close-knit team to deliver health promotion and disease prevention programs, including immunizations, diabetes and smoking cessation programs, and other Subject Matter Expertise (SME) programs developed by AHF, with appropriate collaborative drug therapy management authority. This includes prescriptive authority where legally and organizationally authorized, such as for PrEP and PEP therapies.
