Pharmacist

Description Dispense prescribed medications, drugs and other pharmaceuticals for patient care; this position is not tasked with directly compounding medications Review prescriptions issued by physician or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed Direct pharmacy technicians engaged in mixing, packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs Enter data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost Assay medications to determine identity, purity and strength Instruct interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy Skills Pharmacy, Compounding, Pharmaceutical, Pharmd, Data entry Top Skills Details Pharmacy,Compounding,Pharmaceutical,Pharmd Additional Skills & Qualifications Requires a Doctorate Degree of Pharmacy1-2 years of pharmacist experience preferred but not required Management experience preferred Minimum of 1 year sterile and/or non-sterile compounding experience preferred Requires a Kentucky Pharmacist License Licensure in additional states is preferred, but not required Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Nicholasville, KY. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $61.00 - $66.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
