About the Role
The Pharmacist coordinates and provides pharmaceutical care for patients, manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team, and reviews, interprets, and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems. This role involves providing drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students, as well as documenting interventions for quality improvement efforts. The Pharmacist evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry and verifies accuracy after filling by technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Required); Doctor of Pharmacy (Preferred)
- Pharmacy License in the state of Kentucky
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
