About the role

As Green Worldwide Shipping expands into pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics, we are seeking an Import & Export Specialist to manage the international movement of pharmaceutical and life-science shipments. This role combines traditional freight-forwarding expertise with a working knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and the special handling that pharmaceutical products demand. You will ensure shipments move compliantly, on time, and within the temperature and quality conditions required to protect product integrity.

You will coordinate end-to-end import and export shipments of pharmaceutical and healthcare products by air, ocean, and road, ensuring compliance with GDP principles and maintaining product integrity throughout transit.

  • A strong sense of ownership and the credibility to help build a pharmaceutical logistics operation that clients can trust.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or international logistics.
  • Familiarity with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for pharmaceutical products and an understanding of cold-chain / temperature-controlled logistics.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Proficiency with logistics / TMS systems and standard office software.
  • Experience working in CargoWise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience handling pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical-trial, or healthcare shipments.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU GDP Guidelines, WHO GDP, and U.S. requirements such as FDA oversight and DSCSA, depending on lanes served).
  • Experience with temperature-monitoring devices, validated packaging, and excursion management.
  • GDP, IATA (including dangerous goods / temperature-controlled), or customs compliance certifications.
