About the role

Responsibilities
- Maintain pharmacy inventory through supply and demand projections, placing and expediting orders, and verifying order receipts
- Perform monthly and assist in annual inventories
- Triage and fill prescriptions using bar code scanning, ensuring correct quantities, patient information, and proper labels
- Communicate with inter-team members about medication availability issues or delays
- Process, file, and maintain all fill and dispense records
- Order and sustain adequate departmental supplies
- Maintain a clean work area and utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling hazardous drugs
- Participate in Clinical Oversight and Quality Improvement meetings and ongoing projects as needed
- Answer phones and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- An active TN pharmacy technician license in good standing or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Pharmacy Technician Certification by an accredited body active and in good standing (preferred)
- Experience in a high-paced retail pharmacy (preferred)
