Responsibilities

• Maintain pharmacy inventory through supply and demand projections, placing and expediting orders, and verifying order receipts
• Perform monthly and assist in annual inventories
• Triage and fill prescriptions using bar code scanning, ensuring correct quantities, patient information, and proper labels
• Communicate with inter-team members about medication availability issues or delays
• Process, file, and maintain all fill and dispense records
• Order and sustain adequate departmental supplies
• Maintain a clean work area and utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling hazardous drugs
• Participate in Clinical Oversight and Quality Improvement meetings and ongoing projects as needed
• Answer phones and provide friendly, professional customer service
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• An active TN pharmacy technician license in good standing or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Pharmacy Technician Certification by an accredited body active and in good standing (preferred)
• Experience in a high-paced retail pharmacy (preferred)
