About the role

Responsible for strictly outside insurance sales and service to customers, focusing on new business development.

Responsibilities

• Identify and work opportunities to build a book of business.
• Be actively involved in community organizations and leverage those centers of influence.
• Quickly build rapport with prospects and clients.
• Act as a true risk advisor by identifying client risk and recommending the best insurance products.
• Communicate effectively with clients, the account management team, and carrier partners.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Assist with other job-related duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proper insurance licenses.

Skills

• Knowledge of insurance products and services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Agency Software.
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to multi-task and function as a team player.
• Strong insurance sales ability.
• Ability to work with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various office machines including switchboard, adding machine, copy machine, etc.

Physical Requirements

The role involves physical activities typical of an outside sales position, including travel and community engagement.
