Responsibilities
- Successfully deliver pet products in a safe, courteous, and timely manner
- Load/unload and place product at the delivery locations
- Assist with warehouse duties, such as creating transfers, stocking, cleaning, and loading product
- Assist on the sales floor, stocking and cleaning as needed
- Assists with grounds maintenance, plowing snow, and sanding parking lots as needed
- Pick up returns and associated paperwork according to company return policy
- Deliver intercompany transfers and live shipments between all locations
- Complete trip reports, logbooks and other required documents in a neat and timely manner
- Communicate customer needs, opportunities and concerns to Manager
- Maintain neat, professional appearance as a company representative and interact appropriately with customers and general public
- Maintain and ensure cleanliness of assigned equipment. Report all maintenance needs to Manager
- Maintain necessary permits and licenses required for your vehicle
- Maintain unexpired appropriate licenses to perform your job in a legally compliant manner
- Appropriately respond to and effectively resolve customer needs as they arise
- Unload pallets and product off of truck
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
- Safely operate plow truck and sander to keep parking lots clear and safe
- Perform duties in the warehouse and on the sales floor, such as stocking, cleaning, and customer carry outs
- Build transfers, rotate product, care for backstock, load/unload product, and grounds maintenance duties

Requirements
- CDL Class B License
- One year truck driving experience required
- Previous delivery driver experience preferred
- Previous winter truck driving experience required
- Previous forklift experience preferred
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong team player, able to work cooperatively with others in sales, customer service and warehouse operations to complete transactions
- Excellent communication, listening and problem solving skills
- Positive attitude and ability to maintain patience and composure
- Project confidence while working with customers, including a professional appearance
- Maintain appropriate unexpired legal license
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work early morning hours in winter for plowing as weather requires
Skills
- Knowledgeable about delivery areas, routing aspects and traffic conditions
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
- Ability to operate plow truck and sander to keep parking lots clear and safe

$24.00 / hour + DOE
