Petroleum Delivery Driver

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for achieving delivery objectives set forth by the local District Manager.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
• Makes deliveries in all types of weather and conditions.
• Overtime is possible in the heating season.

Qualifications

• Prior gas delivery experience helpful
• CDL Hazmat, tanker, and air brakes endorsements required
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers
• Flexibility to work outside of basic job description
• Excellent customer service skills
• Desire to succeed and advance in a team environment

Skills

• Pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from plant manager
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Hazmat endorsement and Tanker endorsement
• Employee must be capable of frequently lifting 50 pounds

Working Conditions

• Driving a company vehicle
• Entering the customers’ homes and/or place of business
• Working in hot attics or cold places
• Occasionally exposed to small working spaces, fumes, moving mechanical parts and vibration
• Exposure to a variety of extreme conditions due to weather
