Responsibilities
- Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of PET scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and company protocols.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
- Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast if needed.
- Guide patients through procedures by explaining steps and addressing their questions and concerns.
- Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
- Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
- Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information.
- Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Respect company property, including cash and patient financial information.
- Exhibit and maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
- Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
- Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
- Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Requirements
- Current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
- Venipuncture certification/permit.
- BLS certification.
- At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.
- Genuine passion for patient care and sound judgment in all situations.
- Effective and professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work, and solve complex problems.

Pay
$40–$52 per hour.
