Pet Sitter/Dog Walker - Weekends
About the Role
We're looking for dependable Pet Sitters / Dog Walkers to join our weekend team. This is a great fit for someone who wants consistent weekend work, enjoys caring for animals, and prefers an active, independent role. Team members provide both dog walking and in-home pet sitting, with weekend shifts generally falling into one of two coverage windows: 6:00 AM-2:00 PM or 2:00 PM-10:00 PM. You do not need to be available for both shifts.
Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled dog walks and in-home pet-care visits.
- Provide feeding, fresh water, litter care, and other individualized pet-care routines.
- Complete morning or evening potty breaks and check-ins as scheduled.
- Administer pet medications when required.
- Send real-time visit updates and photos to clients through our mobile app.
- Maintain a reliable weekend route between client homes in all weather conditions.

Within your first 6-12 months, success means:
- Consistently completing assigned weekend visits accurately and on time.
- Building trust with clients through dependable communication and quality pet care.
- Following pet-care instructions carefully, including medication and special needs.
- Managing your weekend route efficiently and reliably.
- Becoming a dependable part of the team for recurring weekend coverage.
Requirements
- Reliable weekend availability for at least one of our two coverage windows: 6:00 AM-2:00 PM or 2:00 PM-10:00 PM.
- Ability to work approximately 5-10 hours per weekend.
- Personal transportation and a reasonable commute to the Southeast Territory.
- Dependability, strong communication, and attention to detail.
- Comfort working independently between client homes in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to commit to the role for at least 6-12 months.
- Willingness to work holidays when scheduled, as pet care continues year-round.
- Willingness to complete reference checks, a background check, and drug screening.

Pay
- $15-$17/hour base pay.
- Average earnings of $18-$22/hour including tips.
- $0.76/mile mileage reimbursement.
Schedule
Territory: Southeast Territory — Clarendon Hills, Hinsdale, Western Springs, La Grange, Burr Ridge, Willowbrook, and surrounding areas.
Weekend Schedule: Approximately 5-10 hours per weekend, with coverage needed within one of the following time blocks:
- Morning/Day: 6:00 AM-2:00 PM
- Afternoon/Evening: 2:00 PM-10:00 PM
You do not need to be available for both shifts. Candidates who are flexible and can cover either shift are also welcome.
