Designer Paws Salon is a family‑owned, award‑winning competition grooming salon with two upscale locations. We provide a clean, smoke‑free environment for both dogs and cats, featuring a welcoming lobby with unique paw‑print windows where clients can watch their pets being groomed. Our facility includes separate rooms for cats, bathing/drying, cutting, and a lobby, and is equipped with top‑of‑the‑line grooming tools such as hydraulic tables, a Sav‑ur‑Fur bathing system, stainless‑steel cages with grates, and premium products. We place a high emphasis on continuing education and personal service with attention to detail.

Job Overview

This key‑holder position is responsible for opening and closing the salon and serving as the first point of contact for both four‑legged and two‑legged clients. The role combines management, customer service, and operational duties.

• Manage and train staff, including hiring, dismissal, disciplinary action, and incident reporting.
• Enforce company policies and create schedules for employees and customers.
• Provide customer service in person, by phone, via social media, email, and text.
• Run the register, balance daily transactions, and handle deposits.
• Maintain monthly inventory and order supplies.
• Check clients in and out, create appointment sheets, and call veterinarians as needed.
• Assist with handling cats and dogs when required.
• Perform daily cleaning duties and ensure the salon remains tidy.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

This is a salaried position and requires a background check.

Requirements

• Prior experience in management.
• Prior experience with scheduling appointments and strong customer‑relationship skills.
• Organized with strong typing skills.
• Professional phone etiquette and a non‑smoking lifestyle.
• Professional and upbeat attitude; self‑motivated.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to give/receive detailed directions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lb.
