Pet Groomer

About the role

Join us as a Pet Groomer at our store in Otsego, Minnesota! As The Groomer, you will perform various grooming services including baths, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing, ensuring each pet’s safety and comfort throughout the process. Style pets according to owner requests or breed standards, using various grooming tools and techniques. Provide exceptional service to pet owners by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy.

Responsibilities

• Perform various grooming services including baths, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing, ensuring each pet’s safety and comfort.
• Style pets according to owner requests or breed standards, using various grooming tools and techniques.
• Provide exceptional service to pet owners by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy.
• Complete regular cleaning of the grooming area and grooming tools and equipment to ensure it is a clean, fun, and inviting area for pet owners and pets.
• Afford assistance with daily operations such as running cash register, unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and cleaning.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for working with both animals and people.
• High School diploma or GED preferred with 1+ years of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer.
• Previous pet store or retail experience is welcome, but training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
• Experience with basic computer skills.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of grooming tools and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety protocols.
• Attention to detail.

Pay

USD $16.25 - USD $21.50 /Hr.
