Pet Counselor

About the role

As a Pet Counselor at Petland Robinson, you will play an integral role in helping families find their perfect pet companions. You will work directly with customers to understand their needs, guiding them toward the best choices for their families and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Listen to customer needs and assist them in selecting the best pet for their family.
• Provide outstanding customer service and educate pet parents on pet care.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of pets, customers, and colleagues.
• Work independently and within a team to meet sales goals.
• Stay productive and engaged during slower periods, helping with store upkeep and preparation for busier times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (equivalent combinations of education and experience are acceptable).
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Must have a genuine love for animals and an outgoing, friendly personality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, while also staying active and productive during quieter times.

Pay

Our team members earn a minimum of $40,000 per year with uncapped commission potential, reaching $100,000+ annually.

Schedule

Retail hours including nights and weekends, offering flexibility within a retail environment.
