What Our Pet Care Attendants Do
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment
- Deep clean and sanitize exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and surgical suites following OSHA and hospital protocols
- Sweep, mop, disinfect, and maintain all hospital floors and common areas
- Clean and sanitize patient housing areas after discharge
- Empty trash, recycling, and biohazard waste according to safety guidelines
- Restock exam rooms, pharmacy, and treatment areas with medical supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish food, bedding, towels, and other essentials
- Unpack and organize incoming inventory shipments
- Support the medical team by preparing rooms and retrieving supplies
- Learn and assist with safe, Fear Free patient restraint under direct supervision
- Manage hospital laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens
- Observe hospitalized patients and promptly report concerns to the medical team
