Responsibilities
- Complete Orkin’s award-winning training to gain the skills and knowledge needed to serve customers effectively.
- Prioritize safety in all tasks, including operating a company vehicle and maintaining cleanliness of equipment.
- Follow a route schedule within an assigned territory, ensuring timely and professional service at each customer location.
- Conduct inspections of customer properties (interior and exterior) and diagnose pest issues.
- Act as a problem solver with empathy, listening to customer needs and recommending efficient, innovative solutions.
- Meet with customers to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services for comprehensive pest management.
- Complete service-related documentation using a handheld device for accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to obtain a pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
- Ability to work independently, manage route-based assignments, and interact with customers in homes or businesses.
Physical Demands
- Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, and other areas requiring climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator when required.
- Work in various weather conditions.
