About the Role
Braman Termite & Pest Elimination is seeking qualified Pest Control Technicians to join our growing team. We are committed to properly training and keeping our technicians up to date on the latest advancements in the industry. We are looking for ambitious individuals ready to begin a fascinating career path filled with opportunities for growth and advancement. Our technicians will go through a thorough on-the-job training program with an experienced technician. Additionally, Braman offers a full certification program with support from a board-certified entomologist to complete required state testing and obtain the proper credentials. A company vehicle is provided.
Responsibilities
- Determine the kind of treatment required to eliminate a particular type of pest.
- Advise customers on the kind of treatment required to eliminate identified pests.
- Inspect customers’ premises to identify pest problems.
- Fill out all necessary paperwork upon completion of each job.
- Communicate with office staff in order to schedule services with customers.
- Apply suitable pesticides to infested areas by following the label instructions and complying with safety procedures.
- Respond to customers’ requests for various pest control services.
- Identify opportunities to sell additional company services and products.
- Adjust chemical mixtures according to the size of the infested areas.
Physical Demands
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Perform duties that require sitting, standing, squatting, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Talk and hear, enter/exit structures and crawl spaces, travel up and down stairs, and climb a ladder.
- Use required personal protective equipment.
- Visually inspect for pests, pest harborage, and pest entries.
- Drive a vehicle.
- Work in all weather conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Pass criminal background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and drug screening.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented.
