Responsibilities

  • Complete Orkin’s award-winning training to learn the skills required to serve customers.
  • Prioritize safety in all responsibilities and follow a route schedule within an assigned territory.
  • Operate a company vehicle safely and maintain its cleanliness and equipment.
  • Conduct yourself professionally and with integrity with customers and coworkers.
  • Serve as a problem solver for customers by listening to their needs and recommending solutions.
  • Meet with customers to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services.
  • Inspect the interior and exterior of customer properties to diagnose and treat pest issues.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and peace of mind about pest management.
  • Complete service-related documentation using a handheld device for accuracy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
  • Ability to work independently, manage route-based assignments, and interact with customers.

Work Environment

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations:

  • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator when required.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
