Pest Control Technician

About the role

Presto Pest Control is a leader in the mid-Atlantic region, providing commercial pest protection to customers such as restaurants, hotels, retail, property management, and health care. We are excited to be growing and are seeking a Pest Control Technician to join our team in Richmond, VA and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Recommend and provide estimates for one-time treatments and continual maintenance to new and existing customers
• Complete all scheduled customer appointments on time in accordance with all applicable Company policies and local rules and regulations
• Serve as the subject matter expert for customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs
• Use all safety equipment as instructed
• Maintain professional appearance and equipment in working order, including vehicle, uniform, application equipment, PPE, paperwork, and literature
• Devote full attention and time, during working hours, to the performance of duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor and the Company
• Perform pest control inspections and services for commercial customers on a defined route
• Complete all stops or reschedule within a specified time frame
• Apply pesticides according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions
• Respond to customer inquiries quickly and thoroughly via email, text, phone call
• Assist with generating new sales leads and visit potential new customers to sign them up for service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills, effectively through verbal, written, and in-person
• Strong customer service and in-person presentation skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and kneel and bend as necessary
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
• Self-motivated and results-driven
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Minimum of 2 years' commercial pest control experience
• Ability to work very early hours (start early, finish early)
• Consistent work history and track record of dependability
• Basic computer literacy required (smartphone, email, basic Excel)

Pay and Schedule

Pay is $22.00-$25.00/hour, with an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday. Shifts may start very early (before 5:00 AM), but we do not schedule nights or weekends. Occasionally, urgent customer requests may require some flexibility.
