Responsibilities
- Complete Orkin’s award-winning training to learn the skills and knowledge required to serve customers.
- Prioritize safety in all responsibilities and follow a route schedule within an assigned territory.
- Operate a company vehicle safely and maintain its cleanliness and equipment.
- Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
- Serve as a problem solver for each customer with empathy, listening to their needs and recommending efficient solutions.
- Meet with customers in their businesses or homes to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services.
- Inspect the interior and exterior of customer properties to diagnose and treat pest issues.
- Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and discuss their pest management program.
- Complete all required service-related documentation using a handheld device for accuracy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
- Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments, and interact with customers.
Work Environment
- Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc., including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator when required.
- Work in various weather conditions.
