About the role
The PHRC is seeking Board Certified Psychiatrist volunteers to assist Public Health – Seattle & King County during an emergency in King County. Psychiatrist volunteers will primarily assist individuals and families during an emergency by providing services in the community such as:
Responsibilities
- Provide services in the community to individuals and families during an emergency.
- Secondary duties may include supporting tasks as assigned.
- Participate in approximately 24 hours per year of orientation, training, and drills.
- Receive continuing education credits during these hours.

Additional Information
- Volunteers may not be a current employee of King County in any capacity, (Career Service, TLT, STT, or contracted) or with any King County department.
- PHRC Psychiatrist volunteers are required to complete specific trainings within the first month of acceptance.
- Volunteers are not eligible for employee benefits.

In addition to volunteering with the PHRC in King County during a disaster/emergency, I am willing to deploy (check all that apply): Through the federalized Emergency Systems for Advance Registration of Volunteer Health Professionals (ESAR-VHP) program
