The function of our Personnel Committee
The function of our Personnel Committee is comparable to that of an HR department. We draft policies regarding the Co-op staff, revise and update the Co-op’s Employee Manual, see to it that employees are provided with a copy of the Manual and other required documents, assist the manager with implementing policies and complying with labor rules, check that employees’ files are kept up-to-date and that evaluations occur on schedule, handle official grievances, and conduct exit interviews.

Aid the Board of Directors
- Assist the Board of Directors in conducting the manager’s evaluation.
Current Projects
- Amending and updating the Co-op’s Employee Manual.
- Improving the organization of our HR files.
- Congducting a round of confidential interviews with the Co-op staff.
- Assisting the Board of Directors with Professional Development.
- Assisting the Membership Committee with interviewing our volunteer workers.

Meeting Information
The Committee meets virtually the fourth Wednesday of each month and meetings are open for all members to attend (but please check the calendar for changes).
