About the Role

We are looking for a Personal Training Manager that supports a high-performance, high-care culture that operates with speed and urgency in delivering results through member integration, programming, and development. They create a warm, kind, and hospitable club, allowing everyone to achieve their goals in a “no judgments” environment.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and manage performance of a team of certified Personal Trainers and Personal Training Sales Consultants
  • Assist in the development and fitness expertise of all Crunch team members
  • Meet both new client acquisition and existing client retention targets for the club
  • Coach and guide direct reports on how to engage, prescribe, acquire, and retain clients
  • Conduct 1:1 meetings with direct reports to review performance, motivate, and guide to achieving individual and company goals
  • Administer and manage the CrunchOne Kickoff experience through demonstrating, coaching, and guiding with the goal of acquiring personal training clients
  • Drive Crunch One Kickoff appointments and achieve weekly and monthly new client targets
  • Ensure accurate administration of PT services including dotFIT program and supplements, client programming, and progress tracking
  • Maintain accurate reporting and data for insights into performance of the department
  • Isolate, align, and direct resources informed by KPIs & organizational priorities
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to all member inquiries within 24 hours
  • Report to the Managing Partner and Market PTM on key results and action plans
  • Maintain accurate time clock and personal training session utilization records for proper labor controls and integrity
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date certification/CPR records of all personal training staff

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a personal trainer
  • Experience executing plans and managing KPIs
  • Experience managing and leading a team of 3-10 employees preferred
  • Solid understanding of fitness industry, market and key business drivers
  • CPR/AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire)
  • Certification required in one or more approved Nationally Accredited Certifications:
    • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainer / Health Fitness Specialist
    • American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer Certification
    • The Cooper Institute Personal Trainer Certification
    • International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA) Personal Fitness Trainer Certification
    • National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer / Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) / Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES)
    • National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) Personal Fitness Trainer Certification
    • National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT)
    • National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
    • International Sports Sciences Association (with NCCA accreditation)

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs
  • Physical effort required for daily duties include lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing and walking

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor degree preferred
