Personal Trainer

About the role

StretchLab is seeking personal trainers, massage therapists, and dance/yoga/pilates instructors to join our team. Founded in 2015 in Venice, California, StretchLab is the industry leader in offering one-on-one assisted stretching. Our Flexologists provide one-on-one assisted stretches and lead guided group stretching classes for up to six clients. StretchLab’s proprietary Flexologist™ training ensures clients receive a world-class stretching session.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions and group stretch classes
• Encourage and motivate clients throughout sessions, with empathy as a key skill
• Build and retain StretchLab membership through sales and outreach
• Manage client care by delivering a best-in-class experience, updating client notes, and booking recurring appointments
• Ensure client safety through proper stretch techniques and enforce StretchLab policies
• Attend staff meetings and required educational presentations
• Handle member concerns when applicable
• Assist Sales Associates and General Manager with studio tours and sales
• Maintain a strong social media presence to support client membership and retention
• Clean and maintain all equipment to ensure availability for client use

Requirements

• Passion for boutique fitness, stretching, mobility, and flexibility
• Previous experience as a Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, Physical Therapist, or Pilates/Yoga Instructor
• Experience in a fitness/health environment providing hands-on training
• Fitness certification required
• Ability to create a positive, welcoming environment for all people
• Strong communication skills and empathy
• Enthusiasm for connecting with people and helping them achieve goals
• Professional work ethic, reliability, and adherence to attendance policies
• Availability to complete our 2-day Flexologist Training Program™ (20 hours online + 2 days in-person/hands-on)
• Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Glen Allen, VA 23060
