About the role
Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. With its main campus at Loyola University Medical Center, Loyola Medicine is part of a comprehensive three-hospital system including Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital.
What you'll do
- Build program activities and provide enjoyable fitness programs to members and non-members of all fitness levels in accordance with safe exercise guidelines
- Design and implement safe, effective, and enjoyable fitness programs that meet the unique needs and wants of each member
- Plan and instruct individuals, small groups, or classes with a personalized approach following Center standards and guidelines
- Contact members regularly to follow-up on the progression of their fitness program
- Keep accurate records of members' progress
- Discuss and promote all Center programs; motivate members to commit to long term participation
- Ensure safe and effective workouts; respond to and report accidents, incidents, and equipment problems
What you'll need for this job
- Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field – preferred
- 1 year of previous personal training exercise experience required
- Personal Training certification (IDEA, ACE, AEA, AFFA or other creditable group exercise certification)
- CPR Certification (American Heart Association)
Pay
Pay Range: $29.70. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
