Personal Trainer
About the role
Chelsea Piers Athletic Club is seeking passionate and driven part-time Personal Trainers to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art fitness facility. The ideal candidates will be committed to delivering exceptional training experiences, supporting members in reaching their fitness goals, and promoting a culture of health and wellness.
Compensation
$40 - $50 per hour for training sessions, depending on experience
Schedule
Varies based on business and client needs
Qualifications
- Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally accredited organization such as NASM, ISSA, ACE, ACSM, or equivalent (required)
- CPR/AED Certification (required; must be renewed every two years)
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience training clients in a fitness or health club setting
- Strong understanding of exercise science, program design, and injury prevention
- Excellent customer service and sales skills, with a passion for helping clients achieve their goals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Enthusiastic team player with a professional, friendly, and proactive attitude
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to learn club management systems and use fitness tracking tools/apps
- Able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Skills
