Personal Lines Underwriting Intern

The Personal Lines Underwriting team is seeking a Personal Lines Underwriting Intern for the Summer 2027 Internship Program. Interns gain hands‑on experience, professional development, relationship building, and community volunteer opportunities while supporting the underwriting process for personal insurance policies.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain accurate rating and coverage on Personal Lines policies.
• Partner with underwriting and other departments to modify renewal business as needed.
• Assess replacement cost value for property business.
• Review property inspections and recommend appropriate actions.
• Update policy information as new details emerge.
• Communicate with agency force regarding changes or requests for information.

Requirements

• Completed two years of college (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow established processes and procedures.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work onsite at the corporate office in Edina, MN.
• Authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).

Compensation

The base pay for this internship is $20.00 per hour.
