Personal Lines Client Manager

About the Role
With some guidance and/or direction, leads client service including all primary activities listed below. May deliver renewal messaging to some clients. Majority of time spent on standard process steps, often handling auto-renewals.
Responsibilities
- Primary Activities (60% or more of time):
- Evaluates exposures and renewal quotes
- Reviews upcoming renewals and determines which accounts warrant remarketing
- Makes coverage recommendations
- Utilizes comparative rater tool to obtain quotes
- Transacts agency billing (where applicable)
- Obtains signed binding and notifies carriers
- Reviews binding documents for accuracy
- Other Responsibilities:
- Sets up and maintains accurate account details, contacts, and policy information in EPIC
- Processes renewals, endorsements, acknowledgments, cancellations, and proofs of insurance
- Attaches, organizes, and names documents in EPIC
- Initiates endorsements, proofs of insurance, and invoices
- Leverages templates and system-generated letters and forms to produce standard communications to clients and carriers (e.g., BOR, client pre-renewal letters, proposal letters, change requests)
- Creates activities in EPIC and assigns them to applicable team members
- May pull items such as MVR, CLUES, Risk Meters, RCE, etc.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in Personal Property and Casualty with a comprehensive understanding of insurance coverages
- Must hold a state Property & Casualty insurance license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills
- Functional knowledge of Excel, including creating, formatting, and evaluating formulas and working within templates
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and other MS Office products
- Maintains effective relationships with clients, co-workers, and colleagues; viewed as a team player, cooperative, and collaborative
- Able to obtain firsthand customer information and use it for improvements in placements and services
- Understanding of guaranteed cost program design and coverage forms; able to provide consultation on coverage needs
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Sets and achieves day-to-day objectives within the context of specified solutions
- Develops and implements work plans for completing projects
- Able to consistently perform/produce quality work, understands urgency in tasks, and meets timelines
- Proficient in self-serve portals and manages client training and utilization
- Follows a well-established set of activities; able to solve difficult problems that are not routine but not overly complex
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with some instruction and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Physical Demands
Office work involves working at a desk most of the time, using a stand-up/sit-down adjustable desk. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Typing, grasping, and repetitive motion are typically required every day, while walking and standing are required occasionally.
