Personal Lines Account Manager
This is a full-time position located in Glenn Allen, VA with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
About the role
The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for servicing and managing a book of personal insurance clients while delivering exceptional customer service. This role supports new and renewal business, ensures policy accuracy, and builds long-term client relationships through proactive communication and advocacy. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage a book of Personal Lines Property & Casualty insurance business, including auto, homeowners, and related coverages
- Process new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and rewrites accurately and within required timeframes
- Track policy expirations and work proactively to ensure timely renewals
- Gather and analyze underwriting information, including applications, questionnaires, and loss runs
- Prepare complete and accurate submissions, including ACORD applications and supplemental forms
- Market accounts to carriers, perform online rating as needed, and assist with coverage comparisons
- Bind coverage and ensure compliance with carrier requirements and applicable regulations
- Review issued policies for accuracy and request corrections when necessary
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing professional, timely, and solution-oriented service
- Build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members
- Maintain accurate documentation and activity notes in the agency management system
- Stay current on personal lines products, carrier guidelines, and industry trends
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license (required)
- 2–5 years of personal lines insurance experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; additional insurance education or designations a plus
